# Austrian Household Wealth Hits 968 Billion Euros

The **Allianz Global Wealth Report**, published September 29, 2026, reveals that [Austrian](<https://austriareport.com/entity/austria-q40>) [household financial assets](<https://austriareport.com/entity/financial-asset-q2823610>) grew by five percent in 2025, reaching 968.6 billion euros. This increase represents a 1.4 percent growth when adjusted for inflation rates.

Investors shifted strategies as more than half of new Austrian investments flowed into securities, driving bank deposits to a historic low. Globally, financial assets rose 8.6 percent to a record 268.4 trillion euros, with most growth coming from value gains.

While Austria's 1.7 percent purchasing power increase since 2019 exceeds [Western Europe](<https://austriareport.com/entity/western-europe-q27496>)'s 0.5 percent, it trails the 23 percent global average. Analysts now expect a nine percent worldwide increase in financial assets for 2026 across nearly 60 countries.
