# E-Control Announces New 2027 Electricity Grid Fees

The regulator **E-Control** announced new electricity grid fees on October 29, 2026, following the review of the **Systemnutzungsentgelte-Verordnung**. Set for January 2027, the revised system will prioritize power output and flexibility for future fee calculations.

Average households will see a 3.6 percent drop in grid fees in 2027, saving 15 euros annually. Once power measurement is fully implemented, savings rise to 5.7 percent, or 24 euros. However, gas grid fees are expected to increase by roughly seven percent.

Regional impacts vary, with **Lower Austria** seeing a 15.9 percent decrease while **Graz** faces a 7.4 percent hike. The changes stem from the **SNE-G-V** framework and declining gas volumes. The public review period for these new regulations ends November 20, 2026.
