> The FPÖ will introduce a no-confidence motion in the National Council, citing high inflation, rising rents, and internal coalition disputes.

The [FPÖ](<https://austriareport.com/entity/freedom-party-of-austria-q131692>) is set to introduce a motion of no confidence against the federal government during the upcoming [National Council](<https://austriareport.com/entity/national-council-austria-q871363>) session. FPÖ General Secretary [Christian Hafenecker](<https://austriareport.com/entity/christian-hafenecker-q1080106>) announced the move at a press conference held one day before the plenary session.

Hafenecker stated the motion allows governing party members to express dissatisfaction. He cited the current state of the [SPÖ](<https://austriareport.com/entity/social-democratic-party-of-austria-q179111>) and internal disputes stalling projects as key reasons. The party also criticizes the government over high inflation and rising rents.

This move highlights the FPÖ's stance against the administration's handling of economic issues and political Islam. By forcing a vote, the opposition aims to capitalize on perceived government failures and internal friction within the ruling coalition parties.
