The new Parent-Child Pass program officially launches on October 1, 2026, introducing updated examination requirements. While the physical program begins now, the electronic version has been postponed until 2027. A 17-page booklet is required for documentation.
New services include a general medical exam, health consultations, a second midwife visit, and an additional ultrasound. Child exams now feature expanded counseling on oral health and vaccinations. Requirements for childcare allowance remain unchanged at this time.
Distribution of supplementary booklets began in late September via established channels. In Vienna, officials Naghme Kamaleyan-Schmied and Peter Hacker arranged direct pickups for doctors. The Midwives' Council voted on the new master agreement on September 30.
