> The British government urges citizens to stockpile three days of essential supplies to prepare for hybrid attacks and extreme weather.

The **British government** has launched a new national preparedness campaign titled '**Be Ready**,' urging citizens to stockpile essential supplies for emergencies. Officials warn that individuals may need to survive for three days without any state assistance.

Recommendations include storing nine liters of water per person, non-perishable canned food, and a manual opener. Residents should also secure flashlights with batteries, charged power banks, wind-up radios, first-aid kits, and cash for electronic outages.

This initiative addresses risks from hybrid and hacker attacks, extreme weather, and floods. It follows a 2026 **European Commission** recommendation for home emergency supplies, ensuring public resilience if internet, television, or power systems fail.
