The Labor and Social Court of Vienna is currently operating at a critical 140 percent workload capacity. Court President Wolfgang Schuster-Kramer scheduled a media appointment for Tuesday morning to provide specific details regarding this personnel shortage.
There are currently 35 judges working at the court, but officials state that at least nine additional judges are required to function properly. Due to this lack of staff, legal procedures are being completed with significant delays across the department.
These delays impact dismissal challenge proceedings regarding employment terminations and nursing care allowance cases. Such setbacks cause major uncertainty for citizens trying to organize and finance essential care, highlighting the need for more resources.
