> The 2026/2027 winter package launches with the 180-bed Obdach Siemensstraße facility to provide 24-hour emergency housing in Vienna.

The 2026/2027 winter package launched on October 28, 2026, introducing the **Obdach Siemensstraße** emergency shelter in Floridsdorf. This new facility offers 180 places for individuals and couples, featuring rooms with beds, desks, and five spots for pets.

Coordinated by **Fonds Soziales Wien**, the program provides 1,000 extra places across ten 24-hour shelters through April 28, 2027. The initiative includes space for 38 families and 255 warming center spots, starting with 60 reserve capacities at Siemensstraße.

Managing Director **Susanne Winkler** oversees this effort alongside partners like **Caritas** and the **Red Cross**. After serving 2,900 people last year, these essential services ensure vulnerable residents have access to kitchens, bathrooms, and common rooms daily.
