October 23, 2026 at 08:07 PM

> The Austrian Armed Forces event at Heldenplatz will cause major traffic disruptions and Ringstraße closures on October 25 and 26.

The **Austrian Armed Forces** are hosting a performance show at **Vienna**'s **Heldenplatz**, leading to significant road closures. The **Ringstraße** will be partially closed between Operngasse and Schottengasse on Sunday, October 25, and Monday, October 26, for the event.

Closures run Sunday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Monday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Drivers must detour via Operngasse, Friedrichstraße, and Getreidemarkt. Tram lines will be diverted or shortened, and irregular intervals are expected on the Zweierlinie route.

The **ÖAMTC** warns of traffic delays and recommends using the subway to reach the event. Visitors from other federal states should utilize Park-and-Ride facilities. Motorists can bypass the area via Landesgerichtsstraße or Maria-Theresien-Straße to avoid jams.
