Vienna to Launch New Online Platform for Girls

The City of Vienna is developing the Wiener Mädchenklub, a digital hub for girls' rights and empowerment resources set to debut in 2027.

To mark International Day of the Girl Child on October 11, the City of Vienna announced the upcoming launch of the Wiener Mädchenklub. This new online platform, scheduled for spring 2027, will bundle existing resources like girls' rights and violence workshops.

An online participation process for girls is now open through January to shape the platform's development. Results will be shared during Vienna Women's Week, complementing current programs like the Wiener Töchtertag and the DiDays NextGen digitalization series.

With 190,000 girls and young women making up 18 percent of Vienna's female population, these initiatives provide critical empowerment. Programs like Girls in Politics and safety workshops ensure this demographic has direct access to leadership and resources.
