**Markdown alternatives.** Every public HTML page has a content-equivalent Markdown representation advertised through the HTTP `Link` header and `<link rel="alternate" type="text/markdown">`. Markdown responses use `text/markdown; charset=utf-8` and advertise the corresponding HTML URL as canonical through the HTTP `Link` header. The home page uses `/index.md`; other pages use `{pathname}/index.md`.

**Articles.** Articles are the publication's primary content and are published continuously.

**Hashtags.** Hashtags are editorial topic labels connecting articles about the same topic, event, trend, or developing story. They represent editorial context, not real-world entities.

**Entities.** Entities are explicitly mentioned real-world people, organizations, places, products, events, and other identifiable concepts. Identified entities are confidently matched to Wikidata and include a QID; unidentified entities intentionally have no QID when no sufficiently reliable match exists. Entity URLs are the publication's canonical local identity; for identified entities, the Wikidata QID provides the external identity.

**Relationship model.** Articles reference entities that explicitly occur in their content. Articles are connected through hashtags representing shared editorial context.

URL changes are proactively submitted through the IndexNow protocol to participating search engines.
