Vivet Private School Files for Bankruptcy

The Vivet private school in Wiener Neustadt has closed abruptly, leaving 34 students displaced following a bankruptcy filing.

The Vivet private school at Werner-Heisenberg-Straße 7 announced its closure during the autumn holidays as bankruptcy proceedings began at the Wiener Neustadt Regional Court. The Association for the Promotion of the Vivet Private School faces liabilities of 132,000 euros, impacting 14 creditors and ten employees.

Director Claudia Adrigan-Lang cited health reasons for the financial strain, while KSV1870 noted that short-term student withdrawals caused critical revenue declines. Although wages were paid through September 2026, the sudden insolvency left 34 children without a school place, including 14 elementary and five middle school students.

The closure marks a sharp decline for the institution, which grew from 14 students in 2020 to a peak of 60 before moving to Civitas Nova in 2024. Education City Councilor Philipp Gruber confirmed that 19 of the displaced students are from Wiener Neustadt, requiring urgent placement following the school's collapse.
