is launching a new -wide tender for rental e-scooter concessions, as announced by City Councilor Ulli Sima's office on Wednesday. The city will maintain its limit of two providers and a total fleet of approximately 4,200 scooters across the area.
The new concessions will be awarded for a three-year term starting in mid-2027, with options for two one-year extensions. This follows a 2023 reduction from multiple providers that previously operated 9,000 units. All scooters must continue to display plates.
Strict regulations remain in place as providers are held accountable for incorrectly parked vehicles. These measures have successfully reduced administrative fines to an average of 120 per month, ensuring better management of the city's micro-mobility fleet.
