The Austrian Earthquake Service reports an accumulation of tremors in central Tyrol since August 2026. According to Rita Meurers of GeoSphere Austria, activity is centered east of Hall, southeast of Innsbruck, and north of Innsbruck, totaling 18 felt events.
This latest quake follows a 3.8 magnitude event on September 26, the strongest in the series. Residents have felt 14 earthquakes in September and three so far in October. The ongoing seismic activity continues to impact the population across the local region.
