The corruption trial against industrialist Siegfried Wolf and former begins Tuesday, October 20, at the Wiener Neustadt Regional Court. Eleven trial days are scheduled through December 17 to address the criminal charges.

Prosecutors allege Wolf promised a tax official support for a board appointment in exchange for a tax remission of 630,000 euros. Wolf faces charges of bribery and incitement to abuse of office, while Schelling is co-accused of committing abuse of office.

A former tax official is also a co-defendant in the case involving the alleged corrupt agreement. All defendants deny the allegations as the court prepares to examine the evidence regarding the tax remission and the influence used during the appointment.
